			<description>“Velo” is short for the French word “velocipede”, meaning bicycle



The Lehigh Valley Velodrome was built in 1975, and is one of only 20 velodromes in the U.S.



The man behind the dream of bringing a velodrome to the Lehigh Valley was Bob Rodale.  It is through his efforts and dedication that we now have one of the finest track racing facilities in the country.



The track is 333 m in length.
